Enel

Enel Group is a multinational energy company active in the sectors of electricity generation and distribution.

The Enel Group operates in more than 30 countries, bringing energy to people through the adoption of new sustainability-oriented technologies.

This project concerns the re-design of the company Intranet.

Due to the strong corporate identity of the company, the goal was to maintain a consistent style and visual language across all the platforms. Working with Strategy and Development units, the team mapped the customer’s need and designed different and interconnected platforms.

The project was about designing a platform that could support HR Business Partners in helping their companies thrive.

An online archive that helps to analyse the staff with targeted interviews.

JOBSHADOWING

Job shadowing is an on-on-the job learning experience where one employee observes a more experienced employee to build skills, competencies and role-specific knowledge. 

This platform provides a shopping environment for job shadowing that allows employees to see what experiences are available and select the opportunity that best meets their needs and learning desires.

Build along the lines of a social network, this platform help to enable connections and knowledge-sharing.

Challenge

This tool provides personalized matching, facilitates bookings and captures relevant feedback and insights.

Challenging was facing the privacy problem and take care of all the personal experience.

It has, thereby, a privacy section in which people could accept or reject the opportunity. That being structured like a social, there’s a part in which they can choose their favourite mate, creating a network and the opportunity to join a great experience and share skills.

SUCCESSION PLAN

Lately, the ageing workforce and a growing need for qualified people, make succession planning ever more important. 

This is platform helps in creating succession plans to identify and retain top talent. It’s a tool that works like a hub and identifies potential succession gaps.

Developed like an organisational chart it assists in planning future staffing needs within your organization.

Challenge

A growing company brings different challenges to any leadership team. The complexity and the numerosity of information about the structure were pretty difficult to manage, especially for the level of detail requested. There are different factors to consider in term of internal development opportunities and smart organisational structure. Planning the stages of a succession plan requires an understanding of job design concepts and develop an integrated approach to help the succession of the management.

ORG DESIGN

This is a case management tool, a unified platform and a central database storing. This software helps to coordinate, schedule, manage and analyse data of the organisation structure. The case management process is supported by the Pipeline section: a sort of Kanban board used by the employee to communicate directly with the Managers and monitoring works, reporting delays or anomalies, ensuring continuity of the process. This board speeds up the analysis of the situation helping to solve any problems.

Challenge

Combining automatic form and document generation with a flexible work-flow, it allows to streamline their case operations and improve efficiency and ensure compliance.

The challenge of this project was to understand the structure of the company and re-design their processes converting them in a user-friendly platform able to track any information or data. The goal was to design a platform able to support a complex process that requires a combination of human tasks and electronic workflow

ORG CHART

OrgChart is a new Organisational Chart of the whole world’s company. A tool that allows to describe the organisational composition and thus provides information on structures and relationships between each business area. 

It allows to create, edit, export and print the hierarchy within the company.

This software turn reporting structures and relationships between departments into diagrams that are easy to read and understand.

Challenge

This project aimed to combine the three old OrgCharts applications creating a unique platform with the availability of information directly dependent on the profile associate to the login.

The problem was to unify all the functions dividing them into basic and specific views.

The solution was to design two different views: one general for the whole organisational structure that presents information for all the users, and another one enriched with compensation info of the Organization Unit and Personal Information.

GDPR

The GDPR is a regulation applicable from 25 of May 2018 in EU law on data protection and privacy in the European Union that imposes obligations onto organizations anywhere, so long as they target or collect data related to people in the EU.

The section e-GDPR of the Enel’s Intranet has been developed to allow the management of the Register of processing operations of Enel Group. The software also confirms the ongoing security of sensitive data, making it great for demonstrating GDPR compliance.

Challenge

The entire process of implementation of the GDPR principles was a considerable challenge both for the company and for the design team. 
GDPR is the prime example of regulation to set data usage and protection across a sovereign state federation such as the European Union. The challenge lied in the fact that we needed to learn and apply privacy frameworks and legislation, and design a tool that could help to identify and reduce the privacy risks of the projects.
